Emily's picks: These are my current go to faves! I use all of these products nearly every day and I would reccomend them all… especially if you are on a budget !!

Emily here today with a #ealsewingshare ! I thought it might be a fun little installment to add, since I have been making a real effort lately to start working my way through at least some of my current fabric stash! I don’t by any means have a HUGE hoard of fabric, but over the past two years I have definitely accumulated quite a collection. After doing a recent craft room clean up, it sort of just hit me… I need to start making some stuff with all this lovely fabric I have been collecting. So I had a little conversation with myself (is that weird?) Hope I’m not freaking anyone out, lol, but anywhooo -- I said, “Emily, unless you start making some projects with all this fabric you seriously need to stop buying more fabric. On top of that, you have a brand new sewing machine that you REALLY NEED to use more!”  So, the outcome of this little conversation with myself is that for the next month or so I am going on a little fabric spending freeze, and I'm going to try and work my way through some of the beautiful stash that I already have. I think it's so easy to fall in love with all the latest and greatest collections and forget all the lovely bits you have hiding out on your shelf already.

So, the reason why I am sharing this little “ah-ha” moment with you is, in my effort to use my stash, I have been on the hunt for pattern and project ideas. Through my searching I came across this fab little Etsy shop called "I Make It You Make It."

“I Make It; You Make It" features sewing patterns for fun, fashionable accessories, things like vintage-inspired turbans, men's bowties, unique wallets, detachable peter pan collars and more!”

The shop owner, Stefanie Fail, has a nice selection of lovely vintage inspired patterns, so you are sure to find something that strikes your fancy.  Over the weekend, I used her Reversible Ruffle Apron pattern to make the apron pictured above!  Isn’t it adorable? The fabric just screamed apron to me. This pattern is very well written and super easy to follow. The pattern comes as an Etsy instant download (.pdf ) complete with loads of full color images to clarify the instructions. You also receive an additional pdf explaining how to make pockets.  Though I didn’t include any on this first apron, it’s a handy little tutorial to have. I think the project took me a total of 2 hrs. to put together, with a little break in there, so it whipped up super fast!  I actually picked up two more of her patterns the other day and am in the process of trying them out.  If you are interested, I can certainly share a review of those patterns as well, along with my makes!

Be sure to stop by Stefanie's Shop to see all of her vintage inspired patterns!

Hello lovelies,
First of all a quick reminder to enter our GIVEAWAY HERE to be in with the chance to win THREE fun prizes!!

Aideen here today and welcome to my #ealwantitwednesday post! I recently bought my first ever cross stitch kit from Bothy threads-you can find their website HERE, the Facebook page is HERE and also there is a group page on Facebook where customers can share their lovely pieces.

I have a major soft spot for all things Gorjuss and I don't even know how I came across the cross stitch kits but I must have seen one on one of my random browsing days.... Anyways I just thought wouldn't one of those be pretty all framed and hanging up! So I bought one from Bothy threads and this is the one I am working on, isn't she so pretty?

As a complete beginner I immediately watched Kate from Bothy threads videos on their YouTube channel HERE. You can also watch them from the website. The videos made it so easy and clear for me as to how to start and finish with a thread-I kinda had an idea of the cross stitch but now it was crystal clear....

I have only been at my piece for a few hours-I am getting a bit quicker every time I go at it but I almost have her dress completed and here is where I am with it now:

Everything in the kit is perfection-the threads are amazing quality and the colour range is extensive to get the exact match to the original Gorjuss artwork. The instructions are easy to manage and the pattern that you work from is great for any level of cross stitcher.

So now that I have started I am loving cross stitch but also and this is my #ealwantitwednesday item, I would love to one day try their Gorjuss tapestry kits! You can make a fabulous Gorjuss cushion... Just look at this one:

Isn't that just so cute-I want one! So maybe when I complete this cross stitch kit, I will invest in one of the tapestry kits and give that a go...

Bothy threads are a lovely company to deal with and when Kate mailed me back when I asked for a catalog to be posted to me, I had to respond and thank her for her videos.

If you or anyone you know is into cross stitch or tapestry I cannot recommend Bothy threads enough. And of course it's not just Gorjuss products, they have a HUGE range of goodies to suit every crafter,

Do you cross stitch? Let me know in the comments,

Aideen x

Francesca's is one of my all time favorite places to pop in when I'm at the mall! And… not only is Francesca's carrying the winning dress from the challenge / season winner Oscar Garcia- Lopez, but also his Capsule Collection is available as well as a selection of accessories that were used during each challenge by the contestants.

I am planning to stop in this week and take a look at what my local Francesca's has in, but if you don't have a store in your area, the winning look, Capsule Collection, and accessories from the Francesca's wall are all available online.

I am completely in LOVE with the prints that Oscar uses! They are so refreshing and perfect for summer! I also really like that the entire collection is very versatile and can be easily styled for day or night. Its always a plus when you can get a little extra wear out of the pieces in your wardrobe, especially on items like these, which for my budget are a bit of a splurge.

The one thing that really made me want to try out this particular subscription program was the fact that ipsy is both community/education based. Not only do you receive fab products in the mail each month for a VERY affordable price, ipsy's team creates tutorial videos each month showing you how to use the products you receive in your "glam bag". I also sent a bit of time poking around on their blog and they have loads of inspiration, tips , and tutorials.

The sign-up process was super simple, you just take a short beauty quiz to help ipsy personalize your glam bag with products that you will fit your style, and enter your payment info. EASY :)

I am anxiously stalking my mailbox waiting for my June box to arrive! I will definitely be doing a full review once I revive my box, so stay tuned! If anyone is already an ipsy subscriber I would love to hear what you think! Feel free to comment below :)

PSSSSSST Aideen here just hopping on quickly as my PowderPocket box just arrived minutes ago.... so here is how the box looks this time around-the theme is 'sweet treats' and I loved seeing the candy coloured pastel box and wrapping to match the theme-such a fun idea!!
