#ealthrowbackthursday our day at ITWBN

12:48 PM

Hello lovelies Aideen here and I am throwing it back to Sunday when myself and Aggie went to the 'Into The West Blogger Network' meet up day in the stunning Glenlo Abbey hotel here in Galway, Ireland. Last time I was at the hotel was actually when Emily came to visit and I just had to show her the fun Pullman restaurant located at the hotel itself-HERE

Photo taken from ITWBN Facebook page HERE

This was our first ever bloggy event and we were so excited to see what the day would all be about! There had been lots of fun posts on the ITWBN page all about guest speakers, pop up shops and more... and it did not disappoint...

We arrived at the hotel and were directed to the GORGEOUS River Room which was all set up for the day AND the pop up shops were up so before we had to take our seats we took our chance to browse the shops-after we popped on our name badges for the day:

Printing on the day was by castle print HERE and my heart print shirt is Penneys

Our first stop was to Cotton Face Vintage HERE which had the most amazing mix of goodies-we spent quite an amount of time looking thru all the goodies where the jewellery and accessories and also the embellished bras provided a very eye-catching display!!

Aggie scored this large crystal ring from Cotton face for a bargain price of €8

Also on the pop up shop section we browsed thru goodies from Little Pea Juices who had the most fabulous display for their array of juices. Shemail shoes from Oranmore also had a shoe display table where I fell in love with some of the Amy Huberman Bourbon shoes..... then there was some pieces from Pia fashions and I picked up a brochure from Stella and Dot! It was a fantastic collection of awesome local shops.

Next...we settled down into our seats with tea and beautiful homenade cookies and we had some lovely company too-Sandra from A modern mommys world HERE Avril from Love Foxy HERE and Delphin from Dollfinesse HERE.

The first speaker up was Helen Mannion from Lifes2good who introduced us to the Micronail which is all about making the most of your own natural nails by buffing and polishing them up to tip top shape. Aggie even went up to trial the micronail and received her very own one they are available HERE-she will be doing a review for us here on the blog, so watch this space!! Helen also very generously gave us all a slim sonic toothbrush-they have to be the prettiest toothbrushes I have ever seen:

The slim sonic I received is SUPER pretty!!!

Ann from In-Tuition learning and development spoke next and she gave us some very handy tips on website building and monetising...she also spoke later on about increasing our readership-she had some great hints and tips.

Philip Gleeson from Quickest fox Marketing then told us all about Twitter which I really enjoyed and this resulted in our new Twitter page you can find us @ealovesblog or by clicking the twitter icon on our home screen-I still need to get the hang of it but it's a fun new way to connect with you all.

After this we had a break where we got these yummy eats from the hotel-the mini burgers were BOMB!! Everything was beautifully presented and tasted as good as they look in these pics-the hotel did a super job for the meet up and everyone was very impressed!!

There was a GIVEAWAY next and Aggie (continuing her lucky streak won the Aurora hair band HERE which is on its way to Emily for review-you need longer locks for this guy)

AND we also got to meet the lovely Michelle from Eires Kids HERE who had their two books-Oisin the braves moon adventure and Oisin the braves robot island books! I picked up both of the books and Michelle very kindly signed them for me-there was great excitement when I got home and had a gift for my two:
It was pretty late when I got home but here is a pic!

AND not forgetting the Galway Player who was there with his book 'Shift and Drift' who had some funny tweets going out during the meet-up you will have to check his twitter page to see what I am talking about @galwayplayer.

So that is it guys-we had a FANTASTIC day and met some many awesome peeps-HUGES thanks to Sinead 'Yummy Mummy lifestyle and fashion blog' HERE and the talented Saibh Egan photography HERE who organised the event and were busy hosting on the day-making it a super day out for all involved,

The ITWBM instaframe was so much fun!!

Thanks for visiting,

Aideen & Emily x
