#tuesdaytryouts with The Greeting Farm Part 1 With Emily
4:43 AM
Hello Lovelies,
Emily here. I am beyond excited to be doing this post today! So as you can see for today’s #ealtryouttuesday we are thrilled to have the opportunity to try out some lovely new products from The Greeting Farm. I think to truly understand my excitement you have to rewind gosh, about three and a half years or so, when I was just getting into rubber stamping, and card making. I had just discovered TGF Stamps and was participating in a lot of challenges on the TGF blog. One day I got an email from none other than my now crafty partner in crime and the bestest besty a girl could ever ask for, Aideen, asking if I would be interested in doing a little crafty swap with her. I of course said yes, and we became fast friends. I have always loved TGF stamps, but after meeting Aideen through the TGF crafty community they hold a truly special spot in my crafty heart <3
So besides meeting Aideen through TGF, they were also the first company’s design team that I participated on. I started off as a guest designer, and then, shortly after, was invited to join for a full term. So of course creating these projects for today’s post certainly brought back so many memories of being a part of the TGF DT. (sniffle sniffle) The Greeting Farm is such a special company, truly dedicated to creating quality stamps, and cultivating a wonderful community of creative individuals that provide so much inspiration.
So, before I get into my projects I think it is only appropriate to give a HUGE THANK YOU to the lovely Marie for sending us these wonderful goodies to play with, and supporting our little bloggy venture ;)
Marie was super generous and sent us loads to play with, so Aideen and I decided we would do this post in two parts, just like we did with Craftycutting. I will be sharing my makes today, and then Aideen will be stopping in again on Friday with her makes! And who knows? I make sneak in another project as well ;) Now, on to the projects…

Dollie Digi $3.50
I created this card using the Dollie digi stamp. Isn’t she cute?! TGF has a huge selection of digi stamps, so if you are just starting out this is a great way to get your feet wet, without making huge investment in stamping supplies.
Here is a bit of a close up for you
I colored the image in with colored pencils, added some stitching and layered a bunch of lovely paper bits underneath. Easy peasy
We also had the opportunity to play with the Berry Sweet print and cut set. I was super excited to try this kit out because one of my crafty goals this year was to really use my new Silhouette Cameo. The kit is super easy to use and the guides on the print out allow you to cut perfectly EVERY time… I seriously was in awe with how easy this set was to use! The set comes with loads of images and cut files so its definitely a bargain! Even if you don't have a cameo you can still cut the printable sheets out by hand and use them on your projects!
Its super easy to add some fun dimension to these adorable cuts! You can see here I stitched down the center of the butterfly and folded up the wings.
I hope you enjoyed my TGF projects and be sure to stop by the blog again on Friday to see Aideen's lovely makes! Oh, and don't forget all you crafty peeps... we are looking for some lovely guest bloggers to share crafty projects, tutorials, inspiration, moodboards, and creative DIY project ideas as a part of our #ealmondaymakes spot. If you would be interested in being a guest #ealmondaymakes blogger please email Emily at: bobbymcgeeandme@gmail.com for more information!
See you Friday for Part 2 ;)

#ealfridayfashion FEATURING Melissa from Lipstick and Louboutins
1:05 PM
Hello lovelies-we are SUPER excited here at #ealhq as we have a fantastic guest blogger on the blog today. Melissa from Lipstick and louboutins has a post all about pregnancy style and it's a MUST read for all our pregnant or thinking about it readers. Thank you so much Melissa for your contribution to #eal,

Pregnancy Style | Back To Basics
Pregnancy style and dressing for pregnancy was a total learning curve for me. I never gave it any thought until my time arrived. To be honest I used to get a little embarrassed if I wandered into the maternity section, a bit like a man wandering into a women's underwear section and I have no idea why!!
This is my first guest blog post for the lovely Aideen and Emily and my aim is to stick to the basics. I will be discussing items of clothing you will 100% need and that I spend most of my days in. The first thing that stopped fitting me was my jeans! It was a sad day when I put them in the bottom drawer! If you like you can purchase a waist band extender but I found them a little uncomfortable so just kissed goodbye to my skinnys for the next few months anyway. Leggings are now your best friend but please please remember the golden rule...if you wear legging make sure the top you are wearing covers your bum. We all know the girls that walk around town wearing them as pants. Being able to see the print and/or size of someone's knickers is a little TMI for me. Don't get me wrong I love nothing more than leggings and my other halves T-shirt when I'm cleaning the house but I wouldn't go out the door without a long vest top, cardigan or loose blouse covering my bum!
Speaking of knickers print, new underwear is something else you will need more of. You are naturally going to put on a little extra weight so make sure your underwear is super comfy. I love the ones from Penneys with the lace waistband. They aren't tiny but the aren't huge and the lace makes them feel girly and pretty. Don't resign yourself to Bridget Jones panties just yet!! When it comes to bras you are more than likely going to need to be measured for a new size. This is one of the better sides to pregnancy. I went to Marks And Spencer's in Cork city to be measured and the girls were super helpful. I got the fright of my life when she told me I have gone from a 32B to a 34D!! Sure I was only loving life! I felt like a new woman in my new boob jail. I honestly don't know how I was even breathing in the other one.

#ealthriftythursday coming from Wesport!
10:00 AM
Hello lovelies, Aideen here with a quick #ealthriftythursday post coming live from my little holiday in Mayo. We have been here a few days now just relaxing and travelling around the area. We also had one day shopping (so far...) in Westport.
One of the shops we had a look in was Shoe Zone who also have a website and other shops around Ireland so you may have one near you! These flats caught my eye there, they are black with gold studding and detailing and cost €14.99.
Then these slip on shoes were so cute-the shop had them in red, cream and a navy-denim colour for just €9.99. Myself and my sister picked up the navy colour as they will go with lots of stuff & for 9.99 are a bargain!!
As I'm talking about our shopping day, there was another little shop in Westport which I loved that was jam packed with goodies. The shop is called Leaping Lizards and it's a little treasure trove of beautiful things. I bought a few little bits in there including some small presents for Miss. Emily-shhhhhh..... Don't tell her......... DEFINITELY a must visit!!
AND I found a moustache cup.... To add to my collection from Amber in Westport €5.95
Thanks for visiting,
Aideen x

6:23 AM
Hello Lovelies!
Today we are testing out some fab products sent to us by Rimmel London! Aideen and I were both super excited for this particular #ealtuesdaytryout, as we both LOVE Rimmel makeup and couldn’t wait to try out some of their newer products.
Since it's no secret I love my eye makeup, I was super excited for the opportunity to try out some of the Scandaleyes products.
Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara in Carbon Black : $6.99
So I would like to start off by saying that for the last couple of months I have been using the Scandaleyes VolumeFlash Mascara. Though, after trying the new Retro Glam Mascara I think I have a new favorite! I have VERY fine eyelashes and NEVER leave the house without a bit of mascara…
The Retro Glam wand is a slightly curvier shape than the VolumeFlash, which I noticed gave my lashes a much fuller look. The formula of the actual mascara didn't really feel or look drastically different in my opinion. I did notice that the Retro Glam seemed to go on a little bit smoother, but again not a huge difference. I have always been a fan of Rimmel Mascara, so I am not at all surprised that this was my favorite of the three products I tried out. I will certainly be repurchasing this one ;) This new mascara comes in four different colors Black, Extreme Black, Carbon Black, and Waterproof Black. I am very interested to see how the Extreme Black compares, possibly a future #ealtuesdaytryout...
Scandaleyes Shadow Paint 007 Chestnut Taupe : $5.49
I must admit that I am not a huge fan of liquid or creme shadows… but to my surprise I actually really fell in love with this shadow! It has a great texture that sets nicely, without looking cakey or clumpy. It also has a great metallic pigment as you can see in the swatch below.
Scandaleyes Precision Micro Liner : $5.99
This is a great basic black eyeliner. The felt tip makes applying the liquid liner a breeze, especially if you are like me with a busy schedule and don't have a lot of time to fuss in the mornings. I am able to get a smooth and precise line without a whole lot of touch up. The liner definitely lasts throughout out the day without melting or really needing any sort of touchup or reapplication. However, it comes off easily at night with a gentle makeup remover.
These all retail at a great price point. I am definitely trying to keep myself to a budget this year, so I have certainly been on the lookout for more affordable make-up products that are still good quality and will hold up to a full day of wear. As I mentioned already, Rimmel has always been a favorite of mine. Their makeup is affordable, yet I don't feel like I am compromising on the quality.
Here is my finished look using the three Scandaleyes products :
Aideen says:
When Emily contacted me and said Rimmel were sending us some goodies to try I was SUPER excited. I work part time in a pharmacy and we stock Rimmel so I am always buying and trying any new products that come in. So when the package arrived to #ealhq, Emily was so good as to send me the 2 Kate Moss for Rimmel lipsticks!!
First I have to say.... I don't usually wear lipstick.... I know shocking.... I haven't owned one since I was younger!! Usually I go for a coloured gloss HOWEVER recently my go to product for when I am doing my make up (I don't get to wear it very often) is Rimmels apocolips lip lacquer. I LOVE apocolips-if you haven't tried it I really recommend it-my favourite shades are Stellar and Apocoliptic.
I was so excited to try the lipsticks as it has been years as I said and the two shades I got to test are 102 & 109 from Kate's lasting finish collection.109 is a coral peach shade which I really like-coral is an amazing colour on any skin tone. And 102 is a pink shade which is very pretty for day time girly looks.
I really enjoyed playing with these lipsticks-they glide on smoothly and easily and give a great true colour on the lips. There is a scent to the lipsticks but it is mild and after a bit you would not notice it. They have a soft sheen finish that did not bleed out and lasted well for 4 to 5 hours. It was not drying on my lips as I had a base of lip cream on first. The colour is great from both of these shades but for me, my personal favourite was the coral shade 109.
Thanks Rimmel London for sending us all of these makeup lovely goodies to try out! We had so much fun playing with everything, and definitely have some new faves!

#ealmondaymakes Project Life With Jane!
5:05 AMHi Everyone!
Jane here! I want to thank Emily and Aideen for not only letting me guest blog again, but also for sharing my Monday makes with you! Over the weekend Emily asked me if I would do another blog post about a recent project/hobby of mine, my Project Life album. I have tried scrapbooking and Smash booking in the past and I have to admit I did not really fall in love with either process. I wanted something that would simply allow me to record my memories in a creative way. When Emily introduced me to the Project Life line of scrapbooking materials I knew this was exactly what I was looking for. The creative simplicity of Project Life has gotten me excited about and loving not only the adorable products, but also the process of putting together a layout!
I also added a dated photo of myself working on the album as a creative way to document my first and hopefully not last Project Life album!
The next two pages took me a little while longer to create, because I incorporated a little bit of journaling on each page. I used Emily’s typewriter to add my memories onto the journaling cards. Once, each pocket was decorated I decided to add a larger journaling card to the layout.
I choose to journal on one side of the card and on the other side I attached my prom invitation to add a little something special to the design!
I absolutely LOVED this process so much that I would definitely recommend trying Project Life to anyone who wants a more simplistic and streamlined way to creatively record their memories! I hope you enjoyed my Monday makes post!
Happy Crafting!!
Jane xx
